LSSL Official Policy
"Whatever the weather, swimmers must go to the host pool. The outcome of the meet is determined on-site by the meet officials, unless the meet is cancelled/postponed prior to the meet based on mutual agreement from both teams and officials."
After last thunder heard
After last lightning seen
Rules at a Glance
No Swimming During Thunder
Swimmers will not be permitted in the water if thunder can be heard — no exceptions.
No Swimming During Lightning
Swimmers will not be permitted in the water if lightning is visible anywhere in the area.
Re-Entry Wait Times
Swimmers may return only after 15 min since last thunder or 30 min since last lightning.
Officials Decide On-Site
Meet outcome determined on-site unless cancelled by mutual agreement from both teams and officials beforehand.
