OUR MISSION

The Bent Creek Country Club Swim Team (The Barracudas) began in 1992 with the purpose of providing a competitive recreational swim program for our club members. Our program values: individual swimmer development, team spirit, team commitment and family involvement. We offer our swimmers the opportunity to challenge themselves, learn and think in a positive manner and be part of a team that enjoys the experience of friendly competition and good sportsmanship. The swim team is committed to a structured yet fun-oriented program that provides swimmers of all levels and abilities the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential and compete at the highest level.

The Barracudas are a summer only (May-July) recreational swim team that competes in the Lancaster County Summer Swim League (LSSL). Our season consists of Dual Meets, Invitational Meets and Championship Meets. The different types of meets allow our swimmers to challenge themselves with a variety of events and distances while competing against swimmers in all divisions of the LSSL.

It is summer, so fun is an important part of the season. We hope that every swimmer and family that joins our team develops life-long friendships. Our vision is that practices and meets have an element of fun. That social functions give swimmers and families a chance to get to know each other. We are a little team with a big heart.
