Swimmer Rules

A swimmer's age as of June 1st determines the age group they compete in for the entire summer, per LSSL rules.

Swimmers will sit together as a team during all swim meets.

Swimmers should remain in the pool area during the meet at all times.

Important Swimmers are not allowed in the water unless competing. Doing so may result in forfeiture of the swim meet.

Swimmers are asked to leave the pool deck clean and tidy, as they found it.

Swimmers are expected to stay for the entire meet unless the coaching staff has been notified.

Note If leaving early, notify the coach by email at least 48 hours before the meet.
Parent Rules

Important Coaches and Timers are the only adults allowed behind the starting blocks.

Parents should watch from the sides of the pool only.

Photos and videos may only be taken from the sides of the pool, between the backstroke flags. Be mindful of Officials and Stroke & Turn Judges.
Event Rules

Swimmer events for Dual Meets will be assigned by the coaching staff.

The coaching staff will determine the swimmer order for all relay events.
-
Swimmers may choose their own events for Invitational Meets.

Championship Swimmers must meet qualifying time standards to be entered in individual events for the LSSL Championship Meet.
Officials & Sign Up

All meet outcomes are determined on-site by meet officials unless cancelled by mutual agreement prior to the meet.

Parents must complete the online Meet Sign Up for every meet β whether attending or not.

Sign up closes at Noon, 2 days before a Dual Meet and Noon, 14 days before an Invitational or Championship.
